Fifth Annual Moosomin Artists Retreat July 6-10, 2026 Moosomin, SK
Dear Artist Friends, I am delighted to announce that the Fifth Annual Moosomin Artists Retreat is being planned for : Monday, July 6 to Friday, July 10, 2026
You are warmly invited to join us for five inspiring days of creativity, connection, and artistic exploration.
Retreat Venue Moosomin Convention Centre Moosomin, SK
The MCC offers an ideal creative environment, featuring:
A large, bright auditorium- Tables and chairs- A fully equipped kitchen - Air conditioning The centre will be open daily from 6 am-9 pm, allowing participants the freedom to come and go as they wish. Work stations may be set up either Sunday evening (7-9 pm) or Monday morning. This is a scent free and pet free facility.
What to Expect - Five uninterrupted days of creating, collaborating, and connecting with fellow artists- Bring your own art supplies and projects to work on. All mediums welcome!- This is a non-instructional retreat, however impromptu demonstrations, mini lessons, and collaborations are welcome and encouraged. - Opportunities for Plein air painting - A relaxed pressure free environment- no show and sale this year, as per unanimous vote.- Open to 25 -30 artists This retreat is about creativity, community, and enjoying the artistic process in a supportive and inspiring setting.
Art supply swap or sell: you can bring any unwanted, excess, used or new art supplies, books or magazines etc to swap with or sell to other participants.
Meals- Breakfast foods, tea, and coffee will be provided daily- Participants are welcome to bring snacks for themselves or to share.
Each participant will partner with one or two others to prepare one meal for the group during the retreat.- costs and preparation are shared amongst partners- Clean-up is part of the responsibility.
A meal schedule will be created once registration numbers are confirmed. If you have special dietary needs, please bring what you require. We are happy to accommodate gluten-free options whenever possible. This shared meal experience has become a highlight of the retreat!
Please feel free to bring musical instruments - we may enjoy some informal evening jam sessions!
